Our world is much more beautiful and colourful when we stand by each other and heartfeltly create new opportunities – opportunities such as those that also arise with our support. That is why NLB Group banking members supported their end-of-the-year advertising campaign in each of the markets where the Group operates with a charitable donation, weather to children, elderly or both.
In Slovenia, NLB d.d. donated to two humanitarian organizations, Botrstvo and Humanitarček. At Botrstvo, they donate EUR 500 a year to each child who is part of their Talent Development Fund. In 2022, the NLB donation will enable 200 disadvantaged children the opportunity to develop their talent. On the other hand, as many as 97,000 elderly people live below the poverty line in Slovenia. With the help of a donation, the Humanitarček association will be able to provide them with 21,000 hot meals in 2022.
NLB Banka Beograd and Komercijalna Banka Beograd donated to center for youth integration SOS dečija sela, a non-governmental, humanitarian and non-profit organization that has been working to improve the quality of life of children and youth without parental care, empowering families at risk, supported economic independence of young people from vulnerable groups, and providing emergency assistance to local populations and refugees.
As it is its tradition for the past years, NLB Banka Sarajevo supported orphanage in Tuzla to help the children without parents and families. Public Institution, Home for Children without Parental Care Tuzla deals with the care and upbringing of children without parental care, children from dysfunctional families, and children found in begging and wandering. They provide all of them with a home, health care, regular education, clothes, and food. They currently have 56 children of all ages from babies to high school students
NLB Banka Podgorica’s donation supported Rights centre for children, a non-governmental organization that is, among other, helping children towards stronger participation in the decision making process and ensuring their voices are heard, but also working with sensitive groups, such as children from foster families and socially vulnerable groups.
NLB Banka Banja Luka focused on both youth and elderly by providing 500 children with disabilities and socially endangered families with New Year’s presents, and 500 elderly from elderly centres with Christmas lunch and bedding.
NLB Banka Prishtina also decided on double donation. First went to the National Autism Association in Kosovo (ANAK) which deals with the identification and supporting of children with autism and their families. This year, the organization is promoting the talents of children with autism through paintings, and the money earned from paintings will be allocated for providing services for children with autism with more aggravated socio-economic condition. NLB Banka Prishtina has not only purchased a panting, but also donated funds that will cover all painting materials for children through the year 2022. The second donation was donated to the Ideas Partnership, an organization that works mainly with Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in the field of education, health, social work and environment.
And NLB Banka Skopje also decided to support both children and elderly by donating to day-care center for the elderly in Skopje and Foundation for Educational and Cultural Initiatives Step by Step, Project Be IN, Be Inclusive, Be Included, that strives to improve the educational opportunities for children with disabilities and contributes to the development of an inclusive non-segregated primary education subsystem.
