NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka was established in 1998 under the name VB Banka a.d. Banja Luka. In 2004 it was renamed LHB banka a.d. Banja Luka. In 2006, the bank was merged with Razvojna banka Jugoistočne Evrope a.d. Banja Luka and together they started operating under the name NLB Razvojna banka. On 1 February 2016, the bank started operating under the name NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka. NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka is today a universal bank, also registered for securities trading. Its most important competitive advantage is its lending potential and ability to finance small and large-scale projects.

Meet the Management Board members of NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka:
Goran Babić is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. He began his career at the Ministry of Finance of Republika Srpska, where he passed the state exam, and a few years later he passed the bar exam at the Ministry of Justice of Republika Srpska. In 2002, he got employed at Kristal banka as an associate for legal affairs, and a year later he became the Director of the Legal Affairs Department at Hypo Alpe-Adria a.d. Banja Luka. From 2012 to 2016, he was the Director and Advisor to the Management Board of Hypo Alpe-Adria a.d. Banja Luka. In 2021, he became a member of the Management Board of NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka and was responsible for Asset Management, Investments, Procurement, Security, General Affairs, Compliance, Secretariat, Legal Affairs and Human Resources departments. On 1 July 2021, he took over the position of President of the Management Board of NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka.
Ljiljana Krsman is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Sarajevo. She started her career as a financial analyst at FAMOS. In 2005, she joined Hypo Alpe-Adria Bank as the director of the Pale branch and was quickly promoted to the position of sales director for the entire region of East Sarajevo, and later to the position of director of sales management at the level of the entire bank. As Director of the Operations Department at Hypo Alpe-Adria Bank Banja Luka, she successfully implemented important projects in the field of organisation and optimisation of processes and established herself as one of the best experts in the field of finance and banking in the country. In 2022, she first became an advisor to the Management Board of NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka, and later a member of the Management Board, responsible for retail and SME operations.
Živko Šiftar is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana. He began his banking career at UniCredit Bank Slovenia, where he gained professional skills and experience in several management positions for 14 years. As the director of Privatinvest d.o.o., a real estate management company, he prepared the bank in Banja Luka for integration and takeover by the NLB Group. He became a member of the Management Board of NLB Banka a.d. Banja Luka in 2024. He is responsible for risk management, credit analysis, recovery and non-performing asset management, as well as monitoring the bank's compliance.
Ivana Lazarević Soldat is responsible for risk management, credit analysis, recovery, and the management of non-performing exposures, as well as for monitoring the bank’s regulatory compliance. She holds a degree in International Business from the United States. She is a holder of the ACCA international qualification, a certified accountant and auditor in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a certified auditor in the Republic of Serbia. She continuously enhances her professional development through specialist training, certifications, and advanced programs in banking risk management and leadership, including at the international level. She began her professional career at Ernst & Young in Belgrade, where she progressed from 2004 to 2018 to the position of Audit Manager and certified auditor, participating in numerous audit and advisory projects for companies and financial institutions across the region. She then continued her career at Ernst & Young in Sarajevo, where she served as Audit Manager until 2020. In the same year, she joined NLB Banka Banja Luka, initially as an Advisor to the Management Board, followed by Director of the Financial Accounting and Controlling Division, and later Director of Strategic Risk, successfully transitioning from finance to risk management.
